Yesterday, we looked at The Essentials and today we’re going to study up on the next pieces, our Staples (head here to see the throwback post from 2 years ago!).
These are the next things I’d spend money on–and they kind of stack on top of The Essentials to make some super quick outfits.
Casual Dress–Something you can throw on easily and comfortably with tights and booties or tall boots.
Leggings–Face it, who doesn’t love leggings? Make sure to cover your tush, and you’re good.
Chambray Button Down Shirt–This is perfect for layering. Can be an over layer or an under layer. Madewell is totally layering chambray under EVERYTHING right now. Chambray under knits! Chambray under sequins!
Fun Knit (the fun coming in either pattern, texture, or cut)–This is great for a comfy and cozy layer.
Bold Graphic Blouse–One item that really stands out and gets noticed!
Long Sleeved Tee–Choose a neutral that you wear often. Make sure it’s super comfy and that you LOVE it.
Blouse with Some Texture–Texture is a quick way to feel put together quickly. This adds quick interest to any outfit.
Semi-Casual Mini-ish Skirt–We’re not talking a super short skirt, but something that will sit at the waist and dress up an outfit if you need.
In December we’ll be looking heavily at how to piece these items together, so hang tight with me! Also, remember, that I’m all about simple and I’m all about no-fuss. These outfits are simple, but polished and make you feel good.
