With our business Wildly Co., I’m often asked when we’ll do adult sizes. Customers love our designs and want us to produce some of them for women. But, that’s just not in our wheelhouse–and it’s expensive to develop new patterns!

So, when Elegantees approached me about a design collaboration, I jumped at the chance. What tee would I be so excited to see come to life? There is nothing like seeing a 2D rendering of your design come to life in 3D, a real life garment. I’ll never forget the first time that happened for Wildly Co. I called my husband and just couldn’t believe it. Something I dreamed up could be worn…by a human!

So, I got to do the same thing with the Hayley Tee from Elegantees. They source and make the tees ethically, so that’s right in line with how we feel about new production. I was thrilled to work with them to design a tee that fits like it’s high-end at a really moderate pricepoint. Elegantees works with women living in freedom from sex trafficking from Nepal. And Nepal was just rocked with a massive earthquake, so I’m even more eager to promote anything that will pour money back into that region.

We talked about how I love a good slouchy tee with an arm that really covers, oversized but not sloppy. I wanted a really solid jersey knit that wouldn’t feel flimsy. I talked about how I’m always a sucker for gray and navy. The nice part about this process was I didn’t have to draft the pattern. ;) So, you get my idea of a grownup Wildly Co. type of T–and it’s from a company that couldn’t be more awesome.

If you’ve loved Wildly Co., take a minute to watch the story of Elegantees and get familiar with the brand. It’s been so much fun to walk through the process with them, and I love how the Hayley Tee came out. It’s seriously the perfect grab and go kind of shirt that you always feel great in.
