I have been unexpectedly away for the past 2 days. Unexpectedly because I thought I’d been spared the stomach virus that has made the rounds within my family for the past month. I was up with my oldest while he was sick straight through the night before my 6am departure for The Relevant Conference. My middle guy also got sick that weekend. (Poor daddy with 2 sick boys!)
Husband met his match about 2 weeks ago and was down for the count for a few days. Meanwhile, friends and family peppered across the city were going MIA for a few days at a time–succumbing to this same bug.
I was thankful I was apparently impervious to the virus. I was supermom.
Until I wasn’t.
So, give me another day to rest up and get well–and I’ll be back.
