Today is the day! It’s the REAL beginning of a brand new adventure! We are setting a big, crazy audacious goal–because we think it’s important work. Mike and I have always said that we are business minded and ministry hearted. This is a company where we can use both giftings. We want to produce great products, create dignified jobs, and love families well.
Our Kickstarter will run from August 5-September 5, and I’d be lying if I didn’t mention that I woke up with nervous butterflies in my stomach. It was more the kind of butterflies I get while waiting in line for a rollercoaster than the kind you got near a cute boy in high school. It’s the feeling of “Welp, we’re really doing this, huh? Is it too late to turn back??”. :)
I have an ask of you. I like to think we’re friends here. This is what Mike and I asked our friends and family to do in a humble email last night. I’d love for you to do 1 (or more) of 3 things.
1. We’d ask you to visit the Kickstarter page and get to know our objectives and plan. We’d be SO honored if you considered stocking up on some cold weather clothes through a pledge on our Kickstarter page.
2. Share our story! We have a REALLY fun video shot at the shop we’re partnering with to produce the fall line. We have a page where you can easily Facebook, Tweet, Instagram, or Pin about Wildly Co. We’d LOVE for you to tell your people about Wildly Co. Your friends and their kids are our perfect customer! :)
3. Would you consider praying? You may or may not be the praying type. But faith is all we have, and we’re asking everyone around us to pray above everything else that God shows up. There’s a verse that says “To him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be the glory.” I think that sums up what we’re hoping for. Would you mind saying that prayer for us this morning? We know that He is good whether we fund this project or not–and we know He is near us either way. :)
