So, I LOVE fresh pine. But, I also love the massive cost savings that come from utilizing an artificial Christmas tree. When the holidays already empty my piggy-bank, I don’t want to shell out the money for a real tree.

So, instead, I make super inexpensive wreaths and garlands and just put them all around my house! If you are REALLY frugal, you can reuse your straw wreath form by pulling out all the floral pins (it wouldn’t be an arduous chore).

Supplies:

This is a SUPER fun project. I have done it with a group of friends (today!), with a women’s ministry as an Advent event, and all buy myself next to my twinkling fake Christmas tree. I get the fresh pine scent without the price tag, and it’s a really fun activity to do when you’re with new friends or acquaintances. I’ve found that in those situations people like to have something to do with their hands!

Have you ever made your own wreaths? Do you like to make your own decor or would you rather have it pre-made and non-DIY?
