I think books are the quintessential perfect Christmas gifts. Most of the time they are under $20 (all of these are), they provide hours of enjoyment, and they are beautiful in their own right. Plus, you have to know a person fairly well to choose a book for them–that shows thought and care. And, really, thought and care are what we all want deep down when we are given a gift. So, this year, if money is a little tighter than normal or if you just want a personal gift–choose a book!
