A season full of holiday festivities means a season full of holiday parties. I think it is particularly quaint and gracious to bring a gift to the hostess of said party. It doesn't need to be expensive, but a tasteful and well-picked gift will make any hostess smile. My rule of thumb is don't bring anything that takes time away from preparing for the party. In other words…if you bring flowers, bring them in a vase. :) Better than that, though, bring something she can use long after the party!
