The World Wide Web is a fascinating place, and it is increasing useful and innovative. You can do anything from ordering groceries, to loaning money, to raising money for teachers and students. These are some of my favorite online services, they help keep my life less fussy and more fun!
1. Free 2 Day Shipping from Amazon Prime
Y’all. I love Amazon Prime. I feel like my life is way simpler because of this service. Sure, Amazon’s free shipping over $25 has always been a great deal…but it does involve a wait. Now, I can get something that I would normally run to Target to get–and it arrives so quickly I don’t feel inconvenienced. Rather, the items I order arrive so quickly that I hardly feel the wait. I can order my favorite fabric softener (makes clothes smell amazing for SO LONG!) and have it on my doorstep before my last bit runs out. You also get free streaming movies, which is a nice added bonus. I’ve found that Amazon Prime pays for itself during the Christmas season!
2. Free and Easy To Do List App TeuxDeux
I love TeuxDeux! It is free, it is simple, it is a no-brainer. I pull up TeuxDeux every morning and make a to do list. It also syncs to my iPhone (a seperate downloadable app in the app store), which makes it perfect for my “on the go” life. It isn’t a productivity app that is meant to do everything, it is just a really well designed list making tool. That is all it aspires to do, and that is TeuxDeux.
3. Watch streaming television on Netflix.
I asked on The Tiny Twig facebook page about whether people have cable or not. A lot of people answered that they didn’t have cable. We do have cable, mostly for ESPN! But, we also enjoy watching streaming television and movies via Netflix on an old Wii or on our iPad. We’re investigating ways to get rid of cable all together, and the lovely Facebook commenters let me know that you can also watch streaming ESPN through xBox and xBox Live. ESPN viewing is my biggest holdup for not cancelling cable. I’ll be so sad when football season comes around and we’d have to go out for Monday Night Football.
