influence, more passion

influence goes to nashville

Y’all. I love Nashville. Husband and I always say that if we don’t stay in Indy forever–Nashville would be a fantastic place to land. Do you have places like that? Places you know you’d be a-ok if you ended up there?

Well, last Thursday Jessi and I made the trek down to Nashville to meet with Barrett and Marisa of fashionABLE. If you’ve been around Tiny Twig long, you know that I love this company with all my guts and think what they do is fantastic. Plus, they have really beautiful scarves, which is like icing on the cake.

Come October, we’re hoping that The Influence Conference will be clothed with fashionABLE scarves–because we are going to be partnering together in big ways. You are going to love the story they tell and the work they do. Meeting with the fashionABLE team was 3 1/2 hours of energy and brainstorming and excitement about the best and most exciting things we can bring to you at The Influence Conference. Get excited. ;)

The 10 hours in the car provided Jessi and I time to really coalesce as a team (we totally missed Casey, but did get in a phone call or two!). We spent 3 hours sharing our life stories from start to finish (in great detail)–and I must tell you, I am more excited now to work with Jessi than I was before. I didn’t know that was possible. I am blown away by the people God has brought together for this first year of Influence.

So, here’s some of the latest details about Influence:

1. Jessi is fantastic. She has the most intentional mindset and always points towards the Lord. I think her husband and little ones are rad, too.

2. Influence is getting a blog. As much as Jessi, Casey, and I love chatting about the conference on our individual blogs…we wanted to have a place just for The Influence Conference. Each of our blogs have a different voice, different readership, and a different purpose–we want to make sure we honor those things even while planning Influence. So, if you want to keep up on The Influence Conference, it would be a good idea to plan to check in there every once in awhile.

3. We have added two more community leaders–Jenna and Maggie!

4. We are filled to the brims with AMAZING speakers–but, have two more to announce before you know them all. Today, I want to let you know that Sarah (Mama Pea) from Peas and Thank You is going to be joining in the voices at Influence!

5. If you are part of a group of women (think family, women’s ministry, contributor blogs, etc.) that would all love to come to The Influence Conference, contact JessiConnolly @ gmail . com to get details about group rates. We’d love to see your group there!

Tomorrow, I’ll have a post about Conference Sponsorships. If you’ve ever wanted to go to a blog conference, but feel like you don’t have the money…this post will be for you. It will have all the details about securing a sponsor that will pay for some or all of your expenses.

I am so excited for this conference. You have no idea. With that said, I am so excited for the sponsorship post. I desperately want to go, but hubbys job is vert unsteady…and he works for our church, and its kinda like we get paid IF they have money to pay him…and its usually just enough for us to live and feed these 3,kids on. Not complaining at all, we love being a blessing to the church, it just makes things like Influenceconference sorta difficult. Thanks for the heads up.

Looking forward to your post on sponsors because that would probably be the route I’d take. Or maybe I could talk some girlfriends into going with me… I’ll email about group rates.

I am really looking forward to this conference. I too love Nashville, wouldn’t mind the slightly milder winters one bit!
